Under 13s progress to Banogue Cup Semi Final

Waringstown under 13s beat Derriaghy by 8 wickets on Friday evening to progress into the semi final of the Banogue Cup. Derriaghy won the toss and batted first and made 87 in their 20 overs with Stefan Heyburn taking 3 for 17 and Craig Kennedy with his improving off spinners taking an impressive 3 for 15.

In reply Waringstown knocked off the runs after some initial tight bowling from Derriaghy with Captain Adam Dennison not out 39 and Sam Wilson not out 17. Matthew Hurst also played well until he run himself out for a gutsy 17.

The semi final will be played in late July with our opponents not yet confirmed.
