After a long illness, it is with regret that we report the death of one of our longest serving members, Alan Bradley.
Not just a supporter, many will probably not realise the volunteer role carried out by Alan in the 1980’s and 1990’s.
In the pre-electronic days, the Waringstown scoreboard was very much a manual operation.
While Charlie Pollock did the scorebook, Alan spent his afternoon pulling all the levers and strings to ensure the spectators were fully up to date with what was going on.
The two traveled together to all the away matches, never missed a home game and played a vital role in the smooth running of the game.
Our condolences, but also our thanks to Alan’s family for all he contributed to the club over many years.
