Primary schools’ cricket tournament at the Lawn

On Tuesday, we hosted our first ever primary schools’ cricket tournament at the Lawn!

I think it’s pretty fair to say that day one was an overwhelming success. We had plenty of intense competition, outstanding individual performances and a lot of fun.

The games were closely contested (including a rare draw by Rowandale IPS and Waringstown Team 2), and the final was a thrilling contest that came down to the last two balls. A big congratulations to Moira Primary School who emerged as the champions!

All teams made huge improvements throughout the day, which was brilliant to see.

Thank you to all the schools that attended today. It was a bad day to be a tennis ball with how hard they were being hit by some of the players!
